We would like to continue to provide monthly support to the sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Saint Michael Archangel, who are a cornerstone of traditional Catholic life in the city of Bom Jesus and around the diocese of Campos. Besides caring for the elderly and running schools that teach over 1000 students, they also reach more than ten thousand young people via catechism offered in parishes and rural chapels around the region.
The sisters are thrifty and creative. The convent is supported by donations of goods and services from the local community. But although they do not complain of their own privation, they are chronically short of funds, too, especially for simple things like health care items and special foods. Since some sisters are elderly, items for those with chronic conditions are also part of the budget.
Please join us in supporting this thriving religious community whose members are such an integral (and cheerful!) part of the traditional Catholic life of the diocese. Consider a monthly recurring donation - even a small amount - to help support this unique and important institute.
