Dear friends and benefactors of Friends of Campos, We are so very grateful for the outpouring of support during our Lenten Campaign. Through your generosity we have been able to make several grants. We offer a special thanks for those who signed up for monthly donations or made multiple donations. It’s been a difficult year for everyone and we know that your help is a sacrifice. Besides contributing towards food and medicine, we were able to help start the purchase of new books for the library. There is a lack of books on philosophy in particular, and Father Everaldo took advantage of a discount to order this stack of reference works for the seminarians to use in their studies. In mid-May Dom Fernando Rifan conferred the tonsure and minor orders on several seminarians. While such events would normally take place at one of the parishes, with full attendance of the public, it was done in the seminary chapel this time due to the rather bad covid situation in and around Campos. Please pray for the seminarians: Wanderson, Hélio, Eduardo, Gabriel, Júlio and Aécio. The ceremony was livestreamed and can be seen on the seminary YouTube channel for those who are interested. The sisters in Bom Jesus were very touched by your support and offered this sweet video which gives a glimpse of daily life in the convent and in their work. They continue to pray for our benefactors as well as those who submit prayer requests. We ask that you might share this information on your social media or in person with friends, family, clergy, parishioners or colleagues!
